Every season we get barraged with more anime than anyone can possibly watch even if they spent all day in front of their computers. Today, we’re going to make that a little easier, letting you know the best shows airing right now, so you can waste less time finding something good and spent more time watching something good.
1: Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2

Attack On Titan is easily one of the biggest anime franchises of the modern era. Season 1 of Attack On Titan took the world by storm when it aired in 2013 and each season has just gotten better and better. The best way to summarize Attack On Titan is to ask what would happen if zombies were the size of buildings, and the only hope humanity had was to hide behind a single, walled city?
If that premise intrigues you, then the anime is going to blow you away. Having to watch well over 70 episodes might seem like a big ask, but it’s hard not to justify that when we’re talking about Attack On Titan of all things. Whether or not you’re a casual fan of anime, or someone who watches a few shows every season, Attack On Titan is something that everyone has to check out.
2: Demon Slayer Season 2

If you haven’t heard of Attack On Titan, then I can almost guarantee you that you’ve heard about Demon Slayer. Demon Slayer is not only one of the most popular anime of all time, it might soon be one of the most popular things of all time, period. Don’t believe me? What if I told you that the Demon Slayer movie was the highest grossing movie for all of 2020? What if I told you that sales of the manga alone dwarfed the sales of every single comic in the United States combined? You’d think I was crazy, and yet it’s all true.
Demon Slayer follows the story of Tanjiro, who after his family is killed by Demons, decides to become a Demon Slayer and cure his sister, who’s become a Demon. It’s not a revolutionary plot by any means, but it’s one handled with the utmost love and care. It’s a battle shonen with all the hype that comes with it and all of the heart that you’d expect from a more grounded show.
Besides, Demon Slayer is also possibly one of the most gorgeous things ever animated. Even if you don’t find the story particularly interesting, just watching the anime in general is a treat for the eyes that everyone deserves. There’s never been a better time to get into Demon Slayer.
3: Arifureta Season 2

Even someone with only a passing knowledge of anime knows what an Isekai is. Guy gets killed -usually by getting run over by a truck- and gets reincarnated into a new fantasyland where he gets to go on all sorts of cool adventures. These days, there are more Isekai every season than just about every other kind of show, to the point where Isekai might as well be a whole other medium altogether.
Still, recently there have been several more grounded Isekai that have traded being fantastical in favor of being gritty and realistic. These Isekai are usually very, very good and even people who don’t like the genre can get into them. Not only is Arifureta exactly that, but it’s one of the first anime to do it altogether.
Arifureta follows our protagonist as he gets incarnated into a fantasy world to save the land from a grave threat. There are just two problems: Not only is the world a lot darker than it seems on the surface, our hero is also almost completely helpless. It’s a pretty sobering take on what would realistically happen to any of us in this situation, and one you should definitely check out.
4: My Dress Up Darling

If after reading this list you just long for something more relaxed, something to put on and just chill yourself out to, then we have exactly the show for you. My Dress Up Darling is a slice of life/romance anime that is absolutely beautiful to watch. If you need a comfort watch, something that’s not going to make you think too hard but is still probably going to make you cry, then look no further.
My Dress Up Darling follows Wakana Gojou, a completely normal guy with one dark secret: he’s really into sewing and making dolls. Naturally, he’s had a hard time finding friends, and he spends his days just keeping to himself, wishing he was different. That is until he finds a kindred spirit in Marin Kitagawa, who altogether seemed like she’d just be too popular to have any secrets of her own.
He soon finds out that she has one just like his. Now, these two from two different worlds collide in what is definitely going to be one of the most heartwarming stories all season.
Conclusion
That’s it for this list, we hope we made your attempts to find something good to watch a lot easier. Of course, there are even more shows that are worth checking out. Still, if you need some place to start, then you can do a lot worse than the list here.
